How to Complete the Serial Dater Challenge in BitLife
BitLife’s weekly challenges love to twist an ordinary career into something much darker, and the Serial Dater Challenge in bitlife is a perfect example. On paper, your character starts out as an upstanding police officer. In practice, you’re using that badge as cover for an affair with your boss and a string of calculated murders against the people closest to you. It’s one of the more luck-dependent challenges in the game, but a clear strategy makes it much more manageable.
What You Need to Complete
The Serial Dater Challenge is built around five tasks, all of which need to happen in the same life:
- Be born a male in Florida
- Become a police officer
- Hook up with your boss
- Murder 2 or more lovers
- Murder 2 or more enemies
You don’t need any premium items or expansion packs to finish this challenge, but a couple of things make it noticeably easier if you have them: the Assassin’s Blade from the marketplace helps with the murders, and the Criminal special talent (from Job Packs) improves your odds of getting away with your crimes. Neither is required — plenty of players complete this with a base game and some patience.
Step 1: Be Born a Male in Florida
Start a new custom life and set:
- Gender: Male
- Country: United States
- City: Any city in Florida — Miami, Tampa, and Orlando are the most commonly recommended, since they’re reliably listed as valid Florida birthplaces
While you’re growing up, keep your Smarts reasonably high and stay out of legal trouble. You’ll need clean stats and a clear record to land a police job later, so don’t jump into any crimes yet.
Step 2: Become a Police Officer
Once your character turns 18, full-time jobs unlock. Head into the job listings and look specifically for entry-level law enforcement roles:
- Cadet
- Trooper
- Patrolman (sometimes listed as Police Officer)
Higher ranks like Corporal or Lieutenant won’t show up as an option yet since they require prior experience — stick to the entry-level listings. If none of these appear right away, age up a year and check again; job postings refresh periodically.
Step 3: Hook Up With Your Boss
This is widely considered the trickiest step, since it depends heavily on your boss’s relationship status and personality — both of which are randomly generated.
- Go to your Job menu and select Co-workers
- Find your boss in the list
- Use the Seduce option
If your boss is married, uninterested, or simply unlucky RNG, the attempt can fail outright. If that happens, your best move is to quit and apply for a different police job to get a new boss, then try again. Some players cycle through a few different police departments before landing a receptive boss, so don’t get discouraged if it takes several attempts.
Step 4: Murder 2 or More Lovers
With your police officer life established, it’s time for the challenge to turn dark. You’ll need at least two romantic partners to become murder victims:
- Go to Activities > Love and use a dating app (or ask someone out directly) to start a relationship
- Once you’re in a relationship, go to Activities > Crime > Murder
- Select your lover as the target and choose a method
Poison and Drive-by tend to be the more reliable methods for avoiding immediate capture, though no method guarantees success. If you don’t already have a partner, secure one through dating first, then repeat this whole process a second time with a new lover to hit the “2 or more” requirement.
Getting caught partway through doesn’t necessarily end your run — if you land in jail, hire the best lawyer you can afford and try to fight the charges, since being incarcerated will make it much harder to complete the remaining tasks.
Step 5: Murder 2 or More Enemies
Unlike lovers, you can’t simply “date” your way into an enemy — you have to manufacture the relationship yourself:
- Go to your Relationships tab and pick an existing friend or acquaintance
- Use the Insult or Argue options repeatedly to sour the relationship
- Once their status flips to Enemy, you’re ready to proceed
From there, it’s the same process as before: Activities > Crime > Murder, select the enemy, and pick your method. Repeat with a second person until you’ve eliminated at least two enemies.
A useful tip: spread your murder attempts out over two or three in-game years rather than committing them all in a short span. Making several attempts in a single year raises suspicion and increases your odds of getting caught by police.

Final Thoughts
The Serial Dater Challenge leans more on luck than most BitLife challenges, mostly because of how random your boss’s personality and relationship status can be. The best approach is patience: don’t be afraid to job-hop for a better boss, spread your murder attempts across multiple years to stay under the radar, and keep a good lawyer on retainer just in case. Once all five tasks are checked off, you’ll unlock a mystery box with a random cosmetic reward for surviving BitLife’s most chaotic love story yet.
