There are no gender or country restrictions for this one, and you don’t need any premium expansion packs — it’s fully completable as a free-to-play player. That said, having the Criminal special talent can make the repeated burglary attempts easier, though it’s entirely optional.
Step 1: Break Out of Juvie
Age your character up until they reach middle school, since crime options generally unlock around age 8. Once you’re old enough, head to:
- Activities > Crime
From there, start committing crimes like burglary, shoplifting, or grand theft auto. A couple of strategic notes:
- Lighter crimes result in shorter sentences, so don’t go overboard trying to get caught with something severe
- The younger your character is when they land in juvie, the easier the escape minigame tends to be
- If possible, favor Burglary specifically — the cash and valuables you steal here will count toward your $50,000 goal in Step 3, giving you a head start
Keep committing crimes until you’re eventually caught and sent to juvie. Once there, open the Juvie tab and select the Escape option to start the prison escape minigame. You’ll need to navigate to the exit square while avoiding the patrolling guard, who typically moves two squares horizontally for every one square you move. Successfully reaching the exit completes this task.
Step 2: Become Famous
This step is intentionally open-ended — BitLife doesn’t require a specific path to fame, just that you achieve it. Some of the more reliable routes include:
- Building a following on social media as an influencer
- Becoming a model
- Marrying into or being part of a royal family
- Becoming a published writer or author
- Dating an already-famous character or royalty
- Pursuing music, DJing, or being a magician
- Working as a reporter
- Going pro in sports
- Becoming an app developer or politician
Social media tends to be one of the more accessible options, especially since your character is likely still young after leaving juvie — open accounts on platforms like Instagram and TikTok and post consistently to build a following over time. Whichever path you choose, you’ll know you’ve hit fame when a pop-up notifies you and shows your current fame level.
Step 3: Burgle $50,000+ in Cash and Valuables
If you picked Burglary back in Step 1, you may already have some progress toward this goal — but you’ll almost certainly need to keep going to hit the full $50,000 mark.
- Go to Activities > Crime > Burglary
- Break into homes and steal valuables
- Do your best to avoid getting caught while you rack up the total
Targeting wealthier-looking homes and repeating the process across several attempts is the most reliable way to reach the threshold. Keep at it until your combined loot crosses $50,000.
Step 4: Break Out of a Maximum-Security Prison
This is arguably the hardest task in the whole challenge. First, you need to land in a maximum-security facility, which generally requires committing a serious crime — murder is the most dependable way to guarantee this level of sentencing.
Once you’ve been sent to maximum security, open the prison menu and attempt the Escape minigame again. Because you’re now in a much more secure facility, the puzzle will be noticeably harder than the juvie version, and it’s randomized every time you attempt it. There’s no guaranteed method here — just keep retrying until you successfully break out.
Step 5: Appear in a Magazine After Breaking Out
The final task is the easiest of the five, provided you’ve followed the previous steps in order. Since you should still have leftover fame from Step 2, simply:
- Go to Activities > Fame
- Select Photo Shoot
- Choose a magazine appearance
